Self Portrait

I studied batik under Barbara Young in the early 70's and am self taught painter, art has been in my blood all my life. I have always looked at my surroundings in awe and have tucked all the beauty and detail where I can pull out what is needed, I hope, creating what will put a smile on your face and joy in your heart. Please leave a comment.

I was born and raised a Norman Rockwell child in the skirts of North Dakota, in a town I call Nowhere, walking railroad tracks to grandma's coolie to catch crawdads and to Jacobson's to catch snapping turtles, barefoot in cowpies. You get the idea. Oh, the fond memories, 47 first cousins, everyone knowing all and nowhere to hide, face to face with life everyday. When I was in North Dakota this summer I visited with an art docent that taught us art when I was in 4th grade. She told me the assignment was to carve a bear out of soap. She said there was something different about mine. It looked like a bear! I still have that little bear she remembered after all these years! So now you know..... I'm special!! hahahaha give me a call and I'll be glad to answer any questions. Recently Wells Fargo purchased painting which will be hung in their historical museum in Sn Francisco.
