The Artist

Charles Thompson was born in Kansas, and raised in Brea, California. Charles graduated from Brea Olinda High School in 2000, and attended California State University of Northridge later that fall. At CSUN, Charles was a student athlete majoring in Biology and Pan African Studies, as well as, playing on the football team. During this time, Charles also found time in the off-season to mentor and tutor kids at the Pacoima Community Center.

In 2002, CSUN Matadors ended their football program. That spring Charles joined Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated, Lambda Chapter. In 2003, Charles Thompson became a Bruin at the University of California, Los Angeles and played through 2005. In 2006, Charles graduated from UCLA with a degree in African American Studies and Sociology.

In October of 2006, Charles married Linda Moses, and they currently reside in Lake Elsinore, California.

The Art

At a young age Charles had a knack for art. Throughout his life, Charles has had no artistic training. It is truly a gift from God. Charles specializes in charcoal, murals, and woodwork.

Exhibitions

Charles was featured in two exhibitions, one at UCLA in 2006, and the other one also in 2006 at Carlotta's Fine Art in Pasadena. ©2007 My Forefathers Fine Art
