Lots of Red Hot Chili Peppers' 'Californication' and Nirvana's 'Nevermind' went into this; a nice combo that got my groove on but kept me at a respectable distance from this one. Thanks guys (RIP Kurt, I love you man!)
Up next is a redux of 'Goldfish' (you won't find the original here) and a new one called 'Cat's Eye,' which, to be honest, makes me want to urk a little so I know I'm on the right track!
Thanks for stopping by and supporting the arts (and by arts I mean artists' very fragile psyches. LOL!)
Peace, MHH

On HAPPY HOUR: A look at the Barack juggernaut from a rural Kansas point-of-view (not mine), note the clenched hand on the hat. Been busy on my "SJD" project lately, will circle around back to the 'Box Galleries sometime soon I hope...

On FOUNDING FATHERS: Any stoner worth his or her salt have heard the rumors; this is my take on what it might have been like were they true. History tells us George Washington was big on "Indian" Hemp and encouraged its growth wherever possible...while many will say that this was in reference only to the male plant's fiber characteristics, I have a feeling that the buds extracted from selected strains of Indian females would give even Chronic and Bluntman something to think about.
Other incidentals concerning the Devil Weed: In addition to being an excellent cash crop (ironically used in hanging-ropes, partner) it was also used to print the first paper money and, perhaps most telling, the Constitution of these fine United States of America. (This from a group of guys who made a point of making points about everything.)
A genuine pity that many of our Founding Fathers, if alive today, would be doing 5 to 10 (if not Life) for all the hemp they grew and harvested on their plantations.
I'm personally of a mind that this much-maligned herb had more to do with the beautifully-constructed political writings and key inventions which marked the apex of colonial independence than today's politicians and pundits could ever imagine or wish to imagine.
That's irony for you.

3-D VIEWING: Unfortunately I'm finding out as I go that anaglyph pictures work best when they're size-oriented, which means that sometimes different 3D versions are used on this site since the pictures are much smaller. For better anaglyph viewing I would suggest this site: http://walterdoe.deviantart.com/ When you click on the pictures they zoom up closer to the size I made the anaglyphs in which gives you a much cleaner stereo image.

In case any of you are 3-D fans and are curious, the freeware I'm using is Anaglyph Maker Ver. 1.08 by Takashi Sekitani. It's remarkably easy to use...but only after you do all the hard stuff yourself via Photoshop (or other comparable software). Try it out, it's alot of fun... I've still got almost 30 'Boxes to flesh out but will most likely keep publishing 3-D versions of the rest of the gallery until I'm caught up. (It's a relaxing way to spend a winter day and is still a lot less work than drawing up the originals.) Happy Holidays to you and yours and thanks for stopping by... --MHH

Nice cheery subject, Darfur is. This one is as over-the-top as the rest, except the Janjaweed soldier beating the infant to death over the mother's back...that's actually a favorite technique of their's apparently. Gets directly to the point, I'll give them that; the Janjaweed have no fuzzy, ill-defined intentions. Now as for all the other governments watching from the sidelines, that's another subject. Anyhow, out of my head and into your's. Peace.

The official Blog is temporarily shut down along with my website; sorry Charlies. Working on 29 new 'Box galleries but my scanner went tits-up so I'll publish when I can afford a new one (this year hopefully). Peace. --MHH
