Anthony Caruana born in January 1955 in a remote village of Xewkija on a small island, Gozo, forming part of the Maltese arcipelago in the middle of the Mediterranean.The neolitic temples of Ggantija in the village of Xaghra, where the artist lives, are a main source of inspiration to the work of Caruana. Studied art at the Malta National School of Art, Accademia di belle arti 'Petro Vannucci' Perugia Italy, ICS of London and Rhodec International Brighton Egland.
