December 4 already :| Wow ...how time flies. My mom died Sept 18 and I've been in a fog. Trying to get back my old self now.

My mom is coming to live with me. She's very ill and I won't have much time to take pictures (I'm guessing...I might be wrong) I would appreciate your thoughts and prayers, thanks.

I went to the Art Walk in Old Colorado City Friday...well at least I thought I went:| Turns out it didn't start until 5PM and I was there at noon...bummer. I did get to see some of my friend, Gayle's, work at Arate Gallery...she weaves and uses gourds to create wonderful baskets.

I am indeed back...I moved my sewing machine in here by the computer so I can listen to live music from my friends while I work. If you have questions about this please feel free to email me...I'd love to share my music as well as my friends! I checked out an Art Quilt workbook from the library and I hope it inspires me.

I organized my yarn and beads today and managed to trip myself and bang my forehead a good one as I was finishing up. Duh! I had a basket that had held yarn in my hands and when I turned to exit the area, I didn't see the laundry basket and I fell over it. I have a sneaky feeling I'm going to be sore tomorrow.

I have been busy being creative in the needle arts. Knitting socks, making lucious crazy quilts, crocheting fine lace doilies...what a sense of satisfaction it gives me!

I am going to Old Colorado City today to get red leather laces for a walking stick we are working on...the ones I bought last week mysteriously disappeared. Beautiful day here in Colorado, the last vestiges of summer still making me smile. Hope to find some yarn lots at Goodwill or Salvation Army too.

The days slip by so fast..I have been doing a lot of knitting and taking care of errands which doesn't leave me much time on the computer. I will (probably) switch gears soon. Hahahahaha maybe kinda sorta? I have good intentions of doing more crazy quilts and crazy quilt canvases, assemblage/collage art (I have a bunch of different idea there...toys from the little machines at resteraunts and so on...things I have found walking...just need motivation) and other cool stuff....hang with me...it'll happen!!!

We went to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo yesterday...what fun!!!! Warning!!!! Only go there if you can take the constant hill climbing.

Ok the art quilts never happened...life has been too hectic and now I don't know when I'll EVER get to sew again...boo hoo poor little me. Good news is we have been working on new walking sticks...I won't promise pics... Another week gone... I was out and about all week in the good weather and didn't do much else but knit and sing. Maybe the Art Muses will tickle me this upcoming week. The St Patty's Day parade was kinda fun, kinda boring. If I get one usable picture from the bunch it will be a miracle.

Wow, I forgot I had this blog already. We went to the mountains Sunday March 4. Lots of good pictures by me AND the children. (I made them take pictures of me hahahahaha!) I'm working with some bulky, tutti-frutti colored yarn I got at the Dollar Tree at Jack's urging. I love it! I made a rectangular stole/table cover/throw and one of my famous shawls. It will be fringed in black when I find the right yarn. I'm itching to do some recording but my voice is bad because of a cold.

Wow, another chance to blog! Hopefully this one won't go "down" as much as the one I use on MySpace. No "Photo Ops" today although I sorta missed one early. Jack pointed to Pikes Peak while were going to breakfast and commented on how bright it was. The pollution hadn't fogged up the air yet and the snow was gleaming. Where was my camera? At home of course....
