Ah yes--spring is almost full-summer now. Wonderful! The flamingos are covering my desk and my ipad now. Requests are coming in for all kinds of new flamingo design ideas: Laundry Flamingo, Lawnwork Flamingo and Fly-Fishing Flamingos are the latest. All are made on Arches cold-pressed 140 lb paper with artist quality paints. Original versions available for $25.00 each including shipping with reference to this blog post. hrough my course at Loyalist I was told there would be many jobs in my field. That wasn't the case when I grtueaadd but through lots of hard work and determination I made it happen. We made it to February! Only a short time left before outside adventures return--whew! Portraits border every available space in my studio--I feel like I'm surrounded by friends. :) There's nothing like the 'ah-hah!' moment when a familar face emerges from paper. Fun! Scott, you really put a lot of thhguot into writing about your experiences with photojournalism contest judging. Not only is it helpful to read before entering a competition such as Fearless but also to use as motivation to work a harder/smarter/longer while you are shooting. Our dog, Sipon, took one for the team last week instead of our toddler with a venomous snake bite. He is out of danger now and to celebrate, we're having a Dog Hero Contest at http:www.facebook.com/icansketchu . well I prefer more ftvirauige stuff personally but I can paint in any given style. I think these are good examples of their kind but, their main success is derived from their interior decorative value. vis: house wall decorations. This I admit I dont seem to achieve, mine are stand alone' specimins perhaps.Two ingredients seem to make for artistic success, One is interior decoration value, the other investment value, outside of those categories you are going to at least have a big struggle. - | |
