I am a divorced mother of a beautiful and smart young boy. My family consists of me and my son and my many pets, which include Summer, a rescue lab mix, cats, and fish. My passion....no my OBSESSION has been and always will be horses. For as long as I can remember i have had a soft spot for them in my heart/
I have been drawing since I was five years old, even though it drove my parents crazy. I was drawing on anything I could get my hands on, even if it was just the corner of a piece of homework paper. As of now I do commission work and am trying to start the beginnings of my own art stuido.
Pencil is the medium that I prefer to work in, as I love the ability it gives me to show all of the detail I like to pour into my art. My drawings all begin as outlines, but take shape emotionally once i start the shading process, and the animal's personality starts to show through. I have been working with other mediums, as family told me I "should try something else."
This board has shown me so much, and I'm thrilled to have stumbled across it. To be able to have the input from other artists....it's an awesome feeling. So please...leave a comment if you can. Don't be afraid to say anything about a piece, even if it is not positive...I am looking for a little constructive critisism.
