im working on a series of paintings. one of which is the mother and child series. another is elder and yet another is waiting. i worked them out in wataer color and now have switched to oil. i like to paint in the mornig and work till mid day. so im up around five and working by six. i take breaks to sooth my back and eye strain. oh well,that is my day. lovely forty degree weather. you can actualy see the sun. nice. very nice.

Well can someone tell me why it is 24 degrees outside and it is only October 11? I had to fasten my grandchildren up with mittins and hats, yesterday. well i suppose we get what we get. im working on a series of lady paintings that are representing mother earth in a part abstraction style. i am also starting on portraits again. havnt done them in a while. but feel the energy. Energy now that is something isnt it. to wake up and feel the energy to paint. to have the mood to work on something out of ones mind. all my artist friends are the same, having to have the energy/mood to work. wonder what that is all aobut. hugs jamie

I jsut got back from a couple of months visiting my sister who lives in North Carolina. I stayed in a cabin she has that is in the woods. I thought it was very hot, although I was told it was a cool summer. I guess being in Wisconsin my idea of what is hot and cool is very different. I was there helping her and her partner take care of their new twins. It was incredible. Didnt have time to paint. I have started two oils and will start a third one. I am also full of ideas for water colors. have a great day everyone. hugs jamie

I don't fell like painting anything. I am in the dull drums here. I wonder if this never ending winter has anything to do with it. it is 39 degrees out and we have snow flurries. give me a break it is April 27th and i want warmth!!! I see all the flowers everyone is uploading and can imagine they have spring............how wonderful these images are and how happy everyone must be. I need to shake out of this mood and get back to art..... Well enough complaing, I need to motivate here and start a new painting.

Still March and still winter. Expecting snow again.................. Painting and sculpting. What is there to say with weather like this..Hope to see spring soon.

Well it is March, snowed last night and all day. Suppose to have ice on Sunday and another blizzard on Thursday..................... Im just thinking this is going to be another snow month. Snow is a funny thing I settle in and paint during the long winter. Nothing to distract me. Im like a ground hog and come up when i see my shadow. With the wind blowing and the snow falling it is hard to see one.

Looks like it has been awhile since I made an entry in this blog, wow. So I am still painting away, busy with trying to sell and make a living working with galleries. Today I pick up some work that was in a show so I am off to do that. I am working on several different series in different mediums right now. I have so many ideas. Not enough time...

What a day. Nothing went right. Is their a full moon. i knocked a cup of coffee on a finished wter color. I had to load drivers into this computor, than i painted oils and switched to water colors. my head hurts. night. jamie

I look at everyones work on this site and think that their are so many great artist and I am thinking, why is it that their is not more of an art market. I mean this is great work. Nice artists. To bad we do not have patrons anymore. so sad. jamie

it is seventy degrees outside and i have my fan blowing it is hot. ahhhhhhhhhhhhh. the snow is gone. had a wicked storm complete with a tordadoe. good grief. jamie

It is gonna warm up today and melt some snow. It is already above freezing and I have opened all my windows to clear out the house. Yes, another spring is comming. well i am off to work on a cowboy series. have a good day

ok, taxes done and in the mail, the federal government is refunding me 47 dollars and the state of wisconsin is giving me 207 bucks for homestead credit. and the dance continues......

oh man, i have to do my taxes or the feds will get me and put me in prison on a tax evasion charge. sooooooooooooo. let me see, i have the forms, the how to books, the lists of sales, the list of cost to do the art to sell.... a cup of coffee and an energy drink. I think im all set. wait i need a cigar to choke on when i am finished. ok. well here goes.

up at five ready to paint. working on a large canvas and am about half done... i see the snow let up but the wind is still howling through the trees. Been snowing now off and on for more than a week with two major blizzards that shut me in. In act they called the snow plows in and waited for the snow to stop during the last blizzard. Everyone was stuck... March is a big snow month it is warming up from the cold of febuary though. Fedex made it through the snow and deliverd art supplies yesterday. New brushes, replacement tubes of oils and water color and frames. Frames cost and arm and a leg but i am getting ready for a show and have to frame them. ok off to the canvas.

ok what is up? i uplaoded a new piece 4 hours ago and it has not come up on the browse. i am not even that slow. well i guess this ranting and raving is useless. think i will go paint. if anyone wants to email me feel free. do to my sight problems i no longer drive.... proberly cause the last time i drove i hit a cop car. ooops. how do i still paint? well i leave out detail and use special viewing lights and goggles for the visually impaired and sort of feel my way through... after all these years of painting, i know how to mix the colors and how the juxtapose. so..... time will tell. maybe ill have to switch to clay. love to work in clay but dont have any up on this site. anyway you cant worry about things that happen to you. ok. well cu
