I began drawing seriously in June 2002 when after sketching a harbor scene from a travel brochure at a friend's house, friends and family encouraged me to continue. I enjoyed the process enough to try drawing homes, covered bridges and churches found in my immediate Vermont/New Hampshire area. I find a certain peace in drawing the interesting details found in simple barns and ornate mansions. There is no shortage of subject matter, and many homeowners have asked me to draw their homes or those of friends or relatives to be given as gifts.
