I just got back from a camping trip in the high peaks of the Sierra Nevada in eastern California. As usual, the views were breathtaking, with lots of snow still on the high peaks. Some great thunder and lightning storms also provided some excitement and dramatic landscapes. A two mile hike to an alpine lake was the highlight of the trip. After battling mesquitos the size of small birds, we were finally able to settle down and fish and photograph. I caught a large brook trout, and also captured many photographs of the lake surrounded by snow-capped peaks. I will be posting some of the photos shortly.
