I am a 23 y/o self-taught artist. I'm originally from a small town in Pennsylvania, but I moved to England in 2003 to marry a fabulous British man who gives unending support to my art.
I have been drawing since I was 14 years old. I started by sketching popular cartoon characters, and my work received praise from friends and family. I then chose to try my hand at caricatures, but my work was too exact to be cartoonish. I attempted to do formal portraits, yet my work was too raw to be realistic.
I have learned since those early days that my style is more suited to marketing and advertisement work, though some have told me I should be a comic book artist. While I am interested in all forms of artistic expression, I have yet to pursue it as a career, as I feel that I have not yet refined my style well enough.
These days, I have been trying my hand at various painting mediums, the most successful being watercolours, and the least successful being oils. My skills are coming along, but for right now, it still remains my most treasured hobby.
