I have a need to express many things at one time. Experiences, Memories, Dreams, Nature and World Issues influence my art. Sometimes my paintings will paint themselves, having no relevant meaning during the process. The meaning reveals itself later, exposing something I didn't see before, of myself, or my view of the world. Other times my paintings are intentional with a set vision. Most are evolved from a blank space and ideas come about from stream of conciouness, or the result of mood.
The process I use varies from each piece, but always involves layers to create a desired textured effect or depth of color. I'll use different media, styles, and subjects to create, each one serves as an outlet making a certain expression easier to achieve. Oil paint, acrylic, photos, computer enhancement, ink, and collage are all utilized in my art.
