I am a self taught artist born and raised in Boston, MA. I go by the brush name Jaishi. Which is basically the first three letters of my last and the first three letters of my first name put together. I wanted a name that would stand out. You know like Oprah, Madonna, Jaishi.
Anyway, I have been painting and drawing ever since I was a fetus. No, seriously! I have a copy of the ultrasound and in my right nub I'm holding a 2 Royal soft grip brush and in my left nub I'm holding a tube of ultramarine blue. Okay, so maybe I'm exagerating a little but like most artists, I have been creating art since I was a child.
I love to paint, to create. It's the perfect escape for me. Art has become my creative freedom, my visual articulation; for without it I would not be able to communicate and would forever remain silent.
