I always hope to compose art that one can _live_ with on one's walls! Art that is suggestive, subtle, sometimes simple or minimalistic (rarely), but which I hope is _never_ Kitsch!

I appreciate comments and look forward to discussions of art. I am of course _very_ grateful for commissions -- primarily unique _variations_ of what I have done here or what appears on dofaust.deviantart.com -- because of my limitations in hand-eye skills - but I compensate a bit for that, with modern tools, as I hope is sometimes evident.

I make a living with a "day" job -- unrelated to art -- for the time being. In regard to art, I also stay busy, with commissions for art from a few galleries and a few collectors. So some of my best work is not shown here per agreements with those good people. Starting from scratch, I worked about a decade - to get to the stage I am at - and about eight years of that, before commissions and invitations for exhibits began to appear. I have no formal training, but have been lucky to encounter major-league teachers, mentors and advisers! I have no illusions that I am a mature artist, but for better or worse, the biological situation is opposite the artistic! (So judgment, based on the oft-attended school of hard knocks, often serves alongside the muse!)

I usually supply signed, unique, one-of-a-kind prints, on a wide range of fabrics or canvas, of any of my pieces, with borders wide enough for stretching the picture over a frame, etc. Please contact me for details. I can also have anything you see of mine printed on glass, albeit probably not very large because of its relative weight. But, it does produce a more striking image than suspected. It is an improvement over much other media, at least in regard to _my_ work - although when I print large images on fabrics, that also is a surprising improvement over what might be suspected from the images as they appear on any monitor.

I would like to work with giclee printers, and others who are able to print on glass, and members of the ASID and related groups, as well as with artists for wall coverings and small murals, primarily from triptychs in this gallery. Please contact me if interested.

I like Magritte's dictum:

"My painting is visible images which conceal nothing; they evoke mystery and, indeed, when one sees one of my pictures, one asks oneself this simple question 'What does that mean'? It does not mean anything, because mystery means nothing" Rene Magritte
