So what's next? My next show coming up will be the Dragon*Con Art Show at the end of August - the 31st through September 3rd (Labor Day Weekend) at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta in Georgia. Details on this event are HERE. Then it's up to Baltimore for FaerieCon November 9th-11th at the Hunt Valley Marriott. Then the next Pop Gallery event at Downtown Disney will be my "Fairytale Fabulous" show - my biggest show of the year - my solo art show focusing on an all new collection of fairytale and folklore themed paintings - will be December 15th & 16th. What's an eye study? Well basically before I do a full sized painting I often do "study" paintings, small format paintings of eyes or other parts of a painting to try out new colour combinations, portraiture, etc. usually painted direct from a mirror or the actual subject (for realistic works). My husband Matt suggested that fans and collectors might want these tiny study paintings, so he has cut this one down & framed it in an AMAZING ornate frame that really makes it "pop"! Even though the painting itself is only 2.75"x3.5" in size, with this deep gorgeous frame it is almost 10" wide by 11" high and a DEEP 2.75" thick. This beautiful eye would be a fun & intriguing addition to any wall, nook or cranny!

Part of my "Poissons Volants" series ("Flying Fish") - combining my love with sea creatures and Rococo era portraiture - "Le Poisson-Lion" (the lionfish) features one of the most delicate and dangerous sea creatres! With beautiful stripes and fluttering fins that already look a lot like wings, it was an obvious choice to include a lionfish piece in my Poissons Volants series with the addition of some beautiful butterfly wings! The maiden in this piece is a little sultry, and definitely gorgeous! "Microcosm: Triceratops" is the second painting in my Microcosms series - delving into the theme of Alchemical microcosms - miniature life and worlds created in glass jars or beakers. This installment features a beautiful girl painted in a very classical style, holding an aerated glass orb containing a tiny primeval world, complete with triceratops! As an amateur paleontologist I simply love dinosaurs and adore painting them when possible. This is one of my favourite paintings - it also features the iris, one of my favourite flowers. "Poissons Volants: L'Hippocampe" Part of my "Poissons Volants" series ("Flying Fish)" - combining my love with sea creatures and Rococo era portraiture - "L'Hippocampe" (the seahorse) was such a fun painting to do! In addition to the prismatic sehorse, there are some leafy sea dragons too! Seahorses and Seadragons are two of the most magical little animals (I could hardly believe it the first time I saw a Leafy Sea Dragon - they are amazing). I will be at the Spectrum Fantastic Art LIVE show in Kansas City, MO at Bartle Hall on May 18th-20th! It will be a phenomenal art show with 200 of the world's best fantasy & scifi artists - I will be bringing lots of paintings & prints with me! The show starts this Friday! The Registration Area is above 14th Street & Wyandotte and opens up at 12 Noon on Friday, May 18th. The show itself opens at 3:00pm to the public! The hours are 3:00pm-6:30pm on Friday, 10:00am-7:00pm on Saturday, and 10:00am-4:00pm on Sunday.

Limited Editions Now at Pop Gallery Orlando at Downtown Disney! Part of my "Poissons Volants" series ("Flying Fish)" - combining my love with sea creatures and Rococo era portraiture - "Les Poissons Rouges" (the goldfish - actually called "redfish" in French) is a stunning baroque portrait of a beautiful lady in a hazy forest landscape surrounded by brilliang magical winged goldfish. The bright colours of the goldfish really "pop" against the subtle pastels of the setting.

The original painting debuted and sold at the Celebration Spring Art Festival, but Limited Ediion Canvases are now available at Pop Gallery Orlando at Downtown Disney at the Walt Disney World Resort. The Lt. Ed. Canvases are full sized 24"x20" canvases, thick gallery wrapped & ready to hang - hand embellished and are the next best thing to the original!
