All orders paid by noon today have now been shipped out.  New orders for limited edition canvases will ship when I get back home November 8.  All other ordering will be shipped as per usual, no delay!  While I'm overseas, each day I'll be posting some of my ever-popular "penny auctions" on eBay - click here and bookmark - new auctions will pop up every day for ACEOs, limited editions, masterpiece editions & more!

Secondly - I have a big gorgeous original painting available from the Corey Helford Gallery in Los Angeles - one of the largest and most detailed paintings I have ever done.  Her name is "Étreinte de Papillons" here - $15,000 - 37" framed, original acrylic painting, spectacular frame, if you are interested simply email Jan at: jch@coreyhelfordgallery.com - or call (310) 287-2340 - they can ship worldwide and may be open to working with payment plans, etc.   We have prints of Étreinte de Papillons here from $9.99, and the #1 Masterpiece Limited Edition 20x20" huge hand embellished canvas is up for auction here

Thirdly - how appropriate for Halloween - my new co-branded licensed collection of figurines for "The Munsters" is now in stock, express shipping available! USA customers can order from the Hamilton Collection here - these are fantastic, and ready to order today and ship out right away.  Limited edition - grab yours now =)

Fourthly - my sister Amber has framed a bunch of my pieces from Disney's WonderGround Gallery and had me autograph them - she has them up available for worldwide shipping on Etsy right here.  These always sell fast, I apologize if some are already sold out.  A great way to get some my Disney art souvenirs direct from the parks without having to fly on an airplane!

Finally, I have several "last chance" limited edition canvas auctions up on eBay. These are for paintings that have already completely sold out of their limited editions, and these are the very last ones.  I always auction off the "last" canvas of an edition so that if anybody missed out, they can still have a last chance bid.  Each is hand embellished by me in acrylic paints, signed & numbered & dated & ready-to-hang.  "Milagros:  Corazon" #25/25 is here , "Pale Medusa" #25/25 is here , and the massive 16x20" Masterpiece Edition of "Unseelie Court:  Envy" #5/5 (only five were ever made!) is here .

Florida people - I will be doing two new events at the Marketplace Co-Op at Disney Springs - November 12 and December 3rd.  I'll also be doing a Dragon themed show called "December Dragons" also at Disney Springs at the Pop Gallery on December 17. "Étreinte de Papillons" 37" Framed Original Acrylic Painting $15,000 AVAILABLE Click here or email Jan at: jch@coreyhelfordgallery.com Prints from $9.99 on sale here

My darling giant painting for the Corey Helford Gallery - this original painting is available - "Étreinte de Papillons " here - $15,000 - 37" framed, original acrylic painting on a round panel, if you are interested simply email Jan at: jch@coreyhelfordgallery.com - or call (310) 287-2340 - they can ship worldwide and may be open to working with payment plans, etc.

One of the largest paintings I have ever done, and certainly one of the most time consuming, this is one of my all time favourites.  Étreinte de Papillons is a French name translating to "Embrace" or "Hug" of the Butterflies.

Inspired by documentary films I've seen of butterfly swarms, monarchs & blue morphos in particular - when traveling/migrating they often all rest upon the eyes & faces of animals - to drink their tears when there is not a nearby source of water. Referencing 16th century paintings of "garlanded" portraits (often of madonna & child scenes, or prominent people, etc.) since it's part of the "Allusions" (references) category in my Allusions and Allegories show, there is a ton of classical flowers, leaves, insects, etc.

A portion of the proceeds from this painting will be donated to a charitable organization for  Epidermolysis Bullosa - children born with  Epidermolysis Bullosa are sometimes referred to as "Butterfly Children" or "Butterfly Babies."

Original painting is here

We have several types of prints available, on sale this week from $9.99.  The glossy photo prints are signed on the back by me and come in two sizes, 8x8" and 12"x12" for  ($9.99 - $19.99).  Then we have the open edition remarqued canvas prints, on sale for only $90 - ready to hang, signed COA, 12x12".  And finally we have the huge gorgeous 20x20" Masterpiece Limited Edition Canvas prints for $595, each one of those is hand embellished by me in acrylic paints, signed, numbered, only 5 of them are ever made, dated, gallery wrapped & ready to hang.

All are available on my website here, worldwide shipping.  Use the drop-down box to select your print option.

We have the BIG #1 Masterpiece Limited Edition up for auction now on eBay, bidding starts at just a penny to give everybody a chance, the auction is here

Also most print options are available on eBay here

When they're gone, they are gone!  That's what a "limited" edition means, of course!

I have several "last chance" limited edition canvas auctions up on eBay.

"Femme Fatale" 11x14" Original Acrylic Painting $4000 SOLD Prints & canvases from $9.99 are here

This is a painting I did for Modern Eden Gallery’s “Femme to Femme Fatale” show, curated by Beautiful Bizarre Magazine. The original sold at the show. With my contribution, “Femme Fatale,” I have explored some of the notions that pop into my head when I hear the words. As a generic stock character a Femme Fatale is somewhat of a trope – an archtype of a seductive dangerous woman, which I definitely embodied in this piece, but I wanted to take the idea a bit further. I’ve juxtaposed some stereoptypically “feminine” imagery (in this case, delicate flowers, Winter’s 19th Century “Cleopatra” illustrations) with “danger” imagery (slithery snake) alongside the beautiful female figure. However rather than a standard nude Eve theme, I have handpainted an approximation of a “censored” pixellation blur.

We have her prints on sale this week, 8x10s and 12x16s as glossy prints signed on the back by me ($9.99-$19.99), and 11x14" limited edition hand embellished canvas prints only $125 (and are wrapped on boards, ready-to-hang on your wall!) - signed & numbered out of only 25 ever made. Just click here and the dropdown box under Fine Art Print Options to choose what type of print you'd like!

"Alice with the Dormouse" 11x14" Original Acrylic Painting $4000 SOLD Prints & canvases from $9.99 are here

This is a painting I did for the “Life is Beautiful” Festival in Las Vegas, as part of their “Crime on Canvas” show. And beautiful it is! Lots of lovely flowers inspired by Dutch still life painting, a darling little dormouse hiding in a cup of tea, and of course Alice herself popping up in the middle. Also intended as an illustration destined for my Alice in Wonderland oracle deck and upcoming Alice coloring book. I love the colours in this one!  The original painting has been sold.

"Allegory of Loss" 12x16" Original Acrylic Painting $5000 SOLD Prints & canvases from $9.99 are here

This piece debuted & sold as part of my “Allusions and Allegories” show at the Corey Helford Gallery in LA.  A piece in which I’ve used the painstaking process of hand painting tiny squares to simulate a pixelated “mosaic” – in this instance turning a vaguely 18th Century Gainsborough-ish portrait into an allegory of loss. Whether it be a loss of a loved one, a symbol of losing touch, or a reminder to keep things close to you an in focus – the viewer can decide that. The peeling wallpaper behind the “lost” girl adds a bit of melancholy as well. And no – no computers or digital effects here, it’s a regular painting of mine, it’s just painted to look that way ??

We have 8x10" and 12x16" glossy paper prints signed on the back by me for $9.99 and $19.99 this week, as well as 11x14" hand embellished Masterpiece Limited Edition canvases that are signed, dated & numbered out of only 25 made, those are $125 each. All are right here just use the dropdown box under Fine Art Print Options to choose what type/size of print you'd like!

We also have the #1 Limited Edition canvas up for auction on eBay to give everybody a chance.  Bidding starts at a penny and you can bid on her here

And you can also find the Allegory of Loss print options on eBay  here

"Unseelie Court:  Envy" 16x20" Original Acrylic Painting $6800 SOLD Prints & canvases from $13.99 are here

The fifth of my “Seven Deadly Sins” collection of my “Unseelie Court” series – “Envy!” This is part of my Seven Sins subseries of my Unseelie Court collection, this one of course is the allegory for “Envy.” Being envious, I of course HAD to give her green eyes. As with all my Unseelie Court pieces, there are several art history references in there – Gericault, Bruegel, Franz Von Stuck, Bronzino, more. All touching on themes of Envy or the symbols of Envy (the association with leviathan – the glowing symbol on her dress) serpents, and more. This piece debuted as part of the 2016 DragonCon Art Show. The original painting has sold, but we have prints & canvases available.

We have 8x10" and 12x16" glossy paper prints signed on the back by me for $9.99 and $19.99 this week, as well as GORGEOUS 12x16" open edition remarqued canvases, ready to hang, signed COA, only $100 on sale this week. "Femme Fatale" 11x14" (21x24" Framed) Original Acrylic Painting $4000 SOLD No, she isn't blurred - this is part of the painting

"Femme Fatale" - I LOVE this one, her eyes are even prettier in person. As with my other faux-pixellated "censored" paintings - yes, this is what the painting looks like - no, it's not done with a computer, no it's not blurred out, I've painted all the little squares myself. Kind of got an Eve / Cleopatra idea (the snake is based on the one in Winter's 19th Century Cleopatra) emphasizing the Femme Fatale theme of the show.  The gallery has just informed me that she is sold, but you can check her out above (and be sure to look at the rest of the show too, some amazing artwork!).  She'll be hanging at Modern Eden Gallery in San Francisco through October 8, and after that we will have prints up at my website.

New ACEO Cards! See them all here

I have a new batch of six one-of-a-kind ACEO cards - they are each up for auction, starting at one penny - click here.

ACEO cards (Art Cards, Editions & Originals) are a great way to collect artwork.  Budget and wall-space friendly, they are each 2.5x3.5" in size - the same size as a baseball card or Pokemon card.  Handmade by the artist!  Mine are miniature canvas prints - I make only ONE per painting, thus I number them #1 of 1, hand embellish them in acrylic paints, sign, date, etc. them - itty bitty works of art, and truly one of a kind.  Enjoy!

New Dice Fairy and Language of Flowers Paintings from Jasmine, Alice & the Dormouse and more..... http://eepurl.com/cfhlfX

Updates from Jasmine!

I'm back from DragonCon, and from my show this weekend at Disney Springs - had a fabulous time at both, thank you ALL so much for coming out to see me!

I've got a lot of new beautiful paintings to tell you about today!

The first of the new prints available is "12-Sided Dice Fairy" - you can see herhere - we have prints, but the original has sold.

Next up is "The Language of Flowers I:  Forget-Me-Nots" - we have prints available here - the original *may* still be available from Corey Helford Gallery - $2400 - email Jan here or call (310) 287-2340.  Similarly, we have the second in the series - "The Language of Flowers II:  Pansies" - we have prints available here.  I am 99% sure that the original has sold, but just in case I've been misinformed you can contact email Jan here or call (310) 287-2340 to double-check.

In other painting news - I have a couple of pieces coming out in galleries soon! "Alice with the Dormouse" will be part of the Life Is Beautiful Festival (Las Vegas, September 23-26) "Crime on Canvas" show - if you are interested in the original painting, email Jay at mmodern@gmail.com - a sneak preview of the painting in progress is below.

Similarly, my "Femme Fatale" painting is going to debut at Modern Eden's "Femme to Femme Fatale" art show in San Francisco this coming Saturday the 17th.  A sneak preview of the painting in progress is below, if you are interested be sure to contact info@moderneden.com .

Next up - one of my favourite magazines - beautiful.bizarrre has done a wonderful feature on me this month, and has even put my artwork on their cover!  It's one of the most beautiful and intriguing art magazines on the market today, each issue is practically a coffee table book.  You can purchase the magazine here on their website (and at many bookshops, galleries, etc.)

Do you love "Green Goddess" as much as I do?  If so, check out the auction for the LAST #5/5 Masterpiece Limited Edition Canvas of her - the others in the edition are now sold out - you can see the auction here

And finally in other news, the Kansas City Renaissance Festival is up & running in full swing! I'll be there in person October 1, 2, 8, and 9) details here.  Keep an eye out on the event page(s) - we'll be doing daily print giveaways for costumes and other fun stuff at my gallery there.

"12 Sided Dice Fairy" 8x10" Original Acrylic Painting $2400 SOLD Prints & canvases from $9.99 on sale HERE

I love her!  The original painting has sold, but we have prints & canvases from $9.99 are on SALE this week at my website here (or go to Strangeling.com and search: dice ).

Here she is! Many of you got to see her at DragonCon this past weekend - she is a beauty =) As a kid growing up I was very much into Dungeons & Dragons (still am, wish I had more time!) – a huge part of what made me pursue a career in fantasy art. The first things that attracted me to the game were the artwork/illustrations and of course all the funny-sided dice! This is the second piece in the series (be sure to check out my 20 sided dice as well). We have 8x10" glossy prints signed by me on the back on sale this week at my website link above - only $9.99. We also have the Limited Edition 8x10" canvas prints - hand embellished and signed by me in acrylic paints, signed & numbered & dated - an edition of 25 - those are wrapped on boards, ready to hang (wire hanger attached, glossy black sides) for only $100. Both options are at my website Strangeling.com here just use the dropdown Fine Art Print Options to choose either the paper option or the Lt. Ed. Canvas option.

We also have all the various print types on eBay here

and Etsy here

"The Language of Flowers I:  Forget-Me-Nots" and "The Language of Flowers II:  Pansies" 8x10" Original Acrylic Paintings each $2400 Prints & canvases from $13.99 on sale here

“The Language of Flowers I:  Forget-Me-Nots” (top/left) and "The Languge of Flowers II:  Pansies" (bottom/right)

These two pieces debuted as part of my “Allusions and Allegories” show from Corey Helford Gallery - The first one (Forget-Me-Nots, the blue one) may still be available - email Jan here or call (310) 287-2340.  I am 99% sure that the original of the second one (Pansies) has sold, but just in case I've been misinformed you can contact email Jan here or call (310) 287-2340 to double-check.

These are the first two pieces in my new series “The Language of Flowers.” The Victorian notion of rather than speaking or writing the words in a letter, a person could send a bouquet of flowers and the recipient would (assuming they understood the language of flowers) understand the hidden message. Pansies mean “you are always in my thoughts!”  And Forget-Me-Nots mean, well - "forget me not!"

Prints are also 8x10" - glossy paper ones signed on the back be me are $13.99 , and limited edition hand embellished canvases only $100. All prints are at my websitehere , just use the Fine Art Prints dropdown menu to choose the print option (glossy paper or limited edition canvas).

We also have all the various print types on eBay here

and Etsy here

"The Star" 12x18" Original Acrylic Painting $5000 may be available HERE Prints & canvases from $9.99 on sale HERE

The original painting is framed (18x24" framed)- she may be sold or it may be still available, again - contact the gallery at email info@alexieragallery.com or call 541.525.7978 or visit their website HERE

The Star is my card for the Lowbrow Tarot - a tarot themed book & exhibition being held at Alexi Era Gallery at their new Eugene Oregon location! "The Star" is a fun card - it has a lot of great symbolism traditionally - it's a "hopeful" card, with the main figure always pouring out two water jugs (she has one in her other hand too). I always equate the figure in The Star with the ancient Greek Goddess of Youth - "Hebe" - she always has a couple of pitchers/cups pouring from either hand, so I have given her some of the classical aspects of Hebe as well. If you look closely you'll see a lovely ibis bird (the type that sometimes lands in my backyard in Florida!) in the distance - they are usually in the background of the Star cards in traditional tarot decks like the Rider Waite, etc.

Prints are at Strangeling.com here , we have small and big glossy paper prints - signed on the back by me - on sale this week (only $9.99 and $19.99). We also have limited edition canvases for $125 - they are 11x16", hand embellished by me in acrylic paints, signed & numbered out of only 25 made, wrapped on boards and ready-to-hang. "Alice in a Klimt Dream" 16x20" Original Acrylic Painting $6800 SOLD Prints & canvases from $9.99 on sale HERE

“Alice in a Klimt Dream” 16x20" Original Acrylic Painting $6800 SOLD - prints & canvases from only $9.99 available here (or just search: Klimt  at Strangeling.com )

This piece debuted & sold as part of my “Allusions and Allegories” show at the Corey Helford Gallery in LA and is an illustration destined for my Alice in Wonderland oracle deck. “Alice in a Klimt Dream” – as part of my “Alice in Other Lands” series (based on artists throughout history) – this one of course focusing on Gustav Klimt. I love the ape, and the Beethoven Frieze. The portrait of his Adele Bloch-Bauer has a bit of a Queen of Hearts nod. In the original painting I overlaid the shiny bits with gold paint – turned out lovely. The Allusions in this one specifically are to Alice in Wonderland (part of my Alice in Other Lands series, where different artists from past centuries are referenced) and 19th Century Austrian master Gustav Klimt – many pieces & design elements of his are referenced in this piece.

Prints are at Strangeling.com here , we have 8x10" and 12x16" glossy prints - signed on the back by me - on sale this week (only $9.99 and $19.99). We also have Masterpiece Limited edition Canvases for $595 - they are full sized big 16x20" canvases, hand embellished by me in acrylic paints, signed & numbered out of only 5 made, wrapped on boards and ready-to-hang.  We also have (on sale for only $90 this week) the open edition canvases which are gorgeous as well! All are at the link above, or just search "Klimt" up at Strangeling.com

We also have all the various print types on eBay here (including the #1 Masterpiece LE)

and Etsy here

You can also see the original painting still while it hangs at the Corey Helford Gallery (downtown LA, Gallery 2) through August 20th in person =)

“Allegory of Infinity” 12x16" Original Acrylic Painting $5000 SOLD - prints & canvases from only $13.99 available here (or just search:  Infinity  at Strangeling.com )

This piece debuted & sold as part of my “Allusions and Allegories” show at the Corey Helford Gallery in LA.

This piece debuted & sold as part of my “Allusions and Allegories” show at the Corey Helford Gallery in LA. In this piece I have three maidens, holding hands to create a circle (like the traditional Greco-Roman “Three Graces”) – in front of them is an Ouroboros (ancient circular symbol consisting of a snake biting its own tail, representing infinity, often used in alchemical texts). Also referencing some Dutch nautilus shell vessels (the spiral of the nautilus representing a perfect infinite repetition), this symbolic painting illustrates various imagery associated with infinity.

We have glossy prints signed on the back by me on sale this week at the link above (or just go to strangeling.com and search : Allegory ) - only $13.99 for 8x10"s and $29.99 for 12x16"s. "Looking-Glass Insects" - from the book "Through the Looking-Glass" - where Alice encounters such critters as the "Rocking-horsefly", "Snapdragonfly," "Bread-and-butterflies," etc. while in the Looking-Glass forest.

Then also inspired specifically by Lewis Carroll’s sequel – “Through the Looking-Glass,” we have “Alice and the Slithy Toves” (the Slithy Toves being referenced in the Jabberwocky poem, and later described by Humpty Dumpty as being a cross between a badger and a corkscrew).

Updates from Jasmine!

I have been busy - a ton of new artwork to show you!!

I am also on my way to Europe at the moment, spending some time at my studio in London, then visiting through Paris & Munich.  While I'm gone you can still place orders at Strangeling.com, still bid up at eBay, buy stuff at Etsy, the galleries, etc. - the only delay will be on new orders for Limited Edition (Hand Embellished) canvas prints - those have to wait until I'm back home to ship (August 15) since I need to paint them by hand =)  All previous orders have now already been shipped.

While I'm away, I'm doing daily "penny auctions" up in my own eBay store here - 10 new ACEOs, limited editions &  more will be popping up just about each evening while I'm gone - and again, I'll be back home in time to ship everything on the 15th.  We have also SOLD OUT of the Masterpiece Editions for Unseelie Court:  Wrath and Unseelie Court:  Sloth - so the #5/5 last one of each is up for a pennyauction here to give everybody a chance

"Allegory of Decay" 12x16" Original Acrylic Painting $5000 SOLD Prints & canvases from $9.99 on sale HERE

“Allegory of Decay” 12x16" Original Acrylic Painting $5000 SOLD - prints & canvases from only $9.99 available here (or just search:  Decay  at Strangeling.com )

This piece debuted & sold as part of my “Allusions and Allegories” show at the Corey Helford Gallery in LA.

“Allegory of Decay” is the specific allegory on this one. I’ve used the painstaking process of hand painting tiny squares to simulate a pixelated “mosaic” simulating a fake “censored” area. Referencing Dutch Golden Age “Vanitas” still life imagery (skull, roemer) there are a couple of lovely maidens (kind of a “death & the maiden” idea), one of which has a slightly undead look…. There is also some significant insect activity in this one – cockroaches, silverfish, maggots, etc. Icky! But I love this one.

"Tableaux Vivants III:  Salome and the Sphinx" 12x16" Original Acrylic Painting $5000 SOLD Prints & canvases from $9.99 on sale HERE

“Tableaux Vivants III:  Salome and Sphinx” 12x16" Original Acrylic Painting $5000 SOLD - prints & canvases from only $9.99 available here (or just search:  Tableaux  atStrangeling.com )

This piece debuted & sold as part of my “Allusions and Allegories” show at the Corey Helford Gallery in LA.

This is the third piece in my "Tableaux Vivants" series - my series combining my original rococo style portraiture set amongst tiny tableaux "living images" from exciting historic paintings. This one is inspired by Gustave Moreau - French symbolist from the 1800s, specifically Salome and Oedipus and the Sphinx. The beautiful henna-like ornamentation on the large figure is also inspired by the "tattoos" Moreau covered his characters with in his later work.

"The Star" 12x18" Acrylic painting on Panel - Price will be $5000 - email auniakahn@me.com at Alexi Era Gallery if interested!

Work-in-progress! "The Star" is my card for the Lowbrow Tarot - a tarot themed book & exhibition being held at Alexi Era gallery at their new Eugene Oregon location!

The stars will be sparkling as crystal - almost glowing - and the lower half of the painting will be in rich warm tones (magenta), with the uppermost corner around the primary star done in cool blues (as shown). She's an acrylic painting and is a slightly unusual size - 12x18" to fit precisely into the tarot card format the show is using.

If you look closely you'll see a lovely ibis bird (the type that sometimes lands in my backyard in Florida!) in the distance - they are usually in the background of the Star cards in traditional tarot decks like the Rider Waite, etc.

She will be priced at $5000. Direct the inquiries to Aunia Kahn - auniakahn@me.com

And of course eventually I'll have prints, etc. up for sale as well at Strangeling.com - the show opens August 5 so that will be her official debut!

"Femme Fatale" 11x14" Acrylic painting on Panel - Price will be $4000 - email  info@moderneden.com at Modern Eden Gallery if interested!

Work-in-progress - almost finished! Her name is "Femme Fatale" - the piece I've painted for the "Femme to Femme Fatale" group show curated by Beautiful.Bizarre Magazine at the Modern Eden Gallery in San Francisco.

She is an 11x14" acrylic on panel - she'll come beautifully framed, and will be priced at $4000.

As with my other faux-pixellated paintings - yes, this is what the painting looks like - no, it's not done with a computer, I've painted all the little squares myself. Kind of got an Eve / Cleopatra theme (the snake is based on the one in Winter's 19th Century Cleopatra) emphasizing the Femme Fatale theme.

If you are interested in the original painting contact info@moderneden.com | 415-956-3303 - and after the exhibition we'll have prints, etc. up at Strangeling.com =)

Exhibition Dates: 17 September - 8 October 2016

Opening Reception: Saturday 17 September, 2016 Modern Eden Gallery 801 Greenwich St, San Francisco, CA 94133 USA

Unfortunately I don't think I'll able to make the opening reception in person, but a lot of the other artists will - if you are in the Bay Area definitely stop by!
