Gayle Taylor is a native of Alberta, Canada, born in Fort McMurray and growing up in Calgary. She now resides in the city of Edmonton, Alberta. A self-created artist, Gayle has started her vision to become an artist at an early age and today is striving to create more unique and personalized art working mainly in acrylics, and pyrography. She is also a member of the Visual Arts of Alberta Association and ArtWanted.com as well has taken a course, Making Art Your Business, at the University of Calgary. Having worked in many jobs to support her art, Gayle is now working full-time in her home studio.

ARTIST'S STATEMENT

Horses were the start of my artisitic passion, drawing them from about the age of five, like most other children, but I continued as I got older, and the passion spread from horses, to wildlife, to motorcycles and more. I first discovered the wildlife art of Glenn Loates on the packages of instant cereal that my mother bought for me as a child and this only fueled my drive to creat what I saw or imagined. Later, it was Randy Fher that caught my eye, with his spectacular details throughout his renditions. Robert Bateman also continues to inspire me to show the world my creative side and my love for all things wild. Thus continuing in my later years the love of the motorcycle and the people who ride them. The motorcycles are a fascination all their own, combining power, beauty and the love of the outdoors. I love nature, the complexity of it, the simplicity.

The complete awe of Mother Nature and how she works never seems to exhaust my creative spirit, there is always more to art to bring into existence!
