Self Portrait

An Oregon born artist, Kitrick Short comes from a background of talent. His mother was an art teacher at Oregon State College and for the Oregon Public Schools. Kitrick's artistic talents were discovered early in grade school,and carefully nurtured by both family and teachers. Kitrick Short is a university trained artist, having earned his Bachelor of Fine Art degree from the University of Oregon after receiving his Honorable Discharge from the Marine Corps. Upon graduation from college, Kitrick traveled throughout Europe, studying the Great Masters of Art.

Kitrick's artwork has been seen worldwide. His proven track record of group exhibitions and one-man shows include

"American Painters in Paris," an international show in France where four major pieces were selected The Lynn Kottler Galleries and the Jordane Art Works in New York, where he was given one-man shows The Hanson Gallery in San Francisco, California, for an exhibition of paintings and sculptures Avenue of the Stars Exhibition, Los Angeles, California, where he was featured guest artist. Kitrick also served as gallery director and principal artist at the Sound Work Galleries, Marcola, Oregon from 1974 to 1988. His works are in numerous public, private and corporate collections throughout the United States and Europe.
