Self Portrait

Statement My art is based on my extensive travel across North America. I use my art as a conduit to share the beauty I have seen and experienced using a style of realism. I want people to relate with my paintings and connect with them on an aesthetic level. I feel my art portrays this type of beauty and I am dedicated to share it with others.

Rachel McReynolds grew up Joliet, IL where she was drawn to all forms of art and culture. Growing up on the edge of Chicago afforded her the opportunity to enjoy great art, not only by sight but by hands on experiences too.

She attended Benedictine University in Lisle, IL where she graduated with a Bachelors of Science (Cum Laude) from studying mathematics and minoring in art. It was in college where she realized her love for oil painting. All of her early artwork has been published under Aero Faith, a name she was known by in college. After college, a mathematics job furthered her with the chance to move to California where she is using every free moment to pursue her art.

In the last year, Rachel has turned her attention to landscapes and travel. Her many trips across the country by car have allowed her to envision many more paintings. Her future holds much anticipation and optimism. She hopes to open her own gallery, so that she may present her interpretation and colors of life with others more readily, as well as offer new artist an outlet for their art.

You can see her public mural on the corner of 4th and Linden in Long Beach. Currently she has upcoming shows in Long Beach.
