A few of my passions growing up have been painting, sketching, creating and teaching..and so as a child, i longed to be an art teacher. i am a self taught artist and became serious about it back in the 80's when i was asked to paint a mural in the Media Room for a pre-school where i taught. Not only was it my first mural for so many to view, but much to my surprise, i was asked by many parents to create murals in their homes. Getting paid for my work isn't what's important, i just have this need to get my thoughts and feelings onto canvas. i have created an 'art studio' in an extra bedroom of my home and it's my favorite room in the house! As long as i have a paintbrush in my hand and paint in the jars, I'm a happy girl!
