a 'very' interesting expression indeed (once i got my head straightened around from trying to see it as you intended that is) i'm assuming you loaded it or scanned it upside down and now you're stuck with it???- i ask this 'cause that's what happened with one of mine and weeks later i'm still trying to correct it) it does, however, cause people to take a second look just to see 'what's up' with the image. great work alex and welcome to aw.
Artist Reply: when I scanned it, it was ready to be submitted.
but, I honestly got pretty bored with just a face with an obvious expression, like many artworks out there.
something that I never saw before was putting an artwork upside down, I really wanted to do something different. I did.
I discovered a new expression of hers by doing that and I am very happy to the unusual side.
you can make a drawing very interesting and special by adding a touch of instinct.

Fabulous portrait, I am guessing by the signature that it is not meant to be upside down! :)Emily Reed 10 Apr 2008
