This is a painting of a Purple Iris. I used the smallest brush that I had, and forced myself to use it to make the most texture I could. I let the colors blend on the canvas. The background was done using a pallet knife.

What you have done here...with color.. tone and texture..is make it looks like 3d! The flower just stands out all by itself! Beautiful picture marvelous work! You will be my picture of the day!
