RAHSAAN ROLAND KIRK

RAHSAAN ROLAND KIRK digital manipulation by Michael Forbus The cure for boredom is curiosity. There is no cure for curiosity. (Ellen Parr) Roland Kirk, one of the best horn players and most innovative composers the earth has known, could do a yogic breathing method that would allow him to breathe in his nose and out his mouth. Thus playing a continuous note. He could play 3 wind instruments at once. The tenor sax, strich manzello and the nose flute. A marvelous human with a forever curious nature. After he had a stroke, he played with one hand. He was also blind. At a concert he played, he proclaimed after playing a composition named ONE TON (snd it ain't goin' to get no lighter) Mr. Kirk said a marvelous thing happened to him after the tune. He said, Damn, I was blind when I came out here. quote by Rahsaan Roland Kirk.
