"Burdens of A Woman" is somewhat of a self-portrait that was born out pain during a time of personal struggle in my life. The creation of this piece was somewhat therapeutic in and of itself. To create the image, I covered paper with charcoal and then used an eraser, fairly violently attacking the charcoal, to erase out the image of the woman, who looks up towards to God for hope. © Copyright Wendy R.
