Twin Towers Oil

This is an oil painting I did back in the late 80's after I visited the Twin Towers. The painting is in Florida so I can't rephotograph it. And this is a compressed version. Some how it seems right to post it today as it is. PS you notice my name change.

This is a powerful painting and as everyone has stated what more appropriate a date to display it. Your colors kind of bring out the starkness of the emotions these towers bring to the heart and mind. Well done.

John Gibson 11 Sep 2008

Great Sharon, Nice to see them before it happened once in a while...ya know?

Artist Reply: Yes, John, I do know. It's nice to remember them the way that they Were. It's a funny thing after I visited the Twin Towers and took the photo from which I painted this, I came home and wanted to paint them. So bought some oil paints and a canvas; that was back in the late 80's. Only think I ever painted until I started painting in acrylics in Nov., 2002. Strange huh? .............. Thank you lots; I appreciate your comments. Hugs, Sharon
