This is a digital image I did for my Color Theory class. I have heard two versions of what people think has happened in this scene. One person said it looked like a bad dating service date where the girl got stood up. Someone else said that the girl saw her boyfriend or ex-boyfriend sitting in the restaurant behind her with another woman. I leave it to you to decide what it means.

First of all, it's a great painting, bravo! As to the subject... I stick to even worse story for the lady: it seems like she's just been left by another "client"; everything speaks of that: her pose, her cheap dress, the rose... the fact that she's alone at night, etc... Beautiful artwork!
