Fishin' in the Fog

©Seth F.Weaver,Sr. 07/11/07. A thick mysterious fog covers a secluded mountain lake as a little fellow crosses a run down rickety old pier to fish. A dangerous place but little boys like to dare danger and do things that give their Moms gray hair. Now, he's ready to catch that elusive BIG FISH hiding in the icy depths of the lake. Mom won't be half as mad at him if he brings home supper. He'll probably only catch a cold. Thanks for looking Seth.

Increadible combination of moods that you've created here, Seth. I love how the background makes me feel both tranquil yet uneasy at the same time. The precipice vs. the relaxed fun of the boy give asimilar reaction. Beautiful work!

Artist Reply: Much appreciated Sally. I tried to create tension between the known (seen part) vs. the unknown (unseen part).

I like this one, Dad. You should do more watercolor washes like this one. You're so good at them. I like the texture you got in the pier. Nice work.

Artist Reply: essa, thank you so much for this marvelous comment. I like the way the pier turned out too. Have a Great Day Darling Daughter!
