Trail to Dewey Lakes

I took so many pictures this day on the Naches Loop Trail...my camera was smoking. The side trail to Dewey Lakes was so worth the time. The first shot shows gorgeous fall colors, along with the valley and mountains beyond. Cayuse Pass is in the valley, 2000 ft. below and is heading south along the eastern side of Mt. Rainier. The Stevens Canyon Entrance to Mt. Rainier Nat'l Park is here. Lovely rivers, falls, and ancient trees are just some of the attractions there. We have hiked a few trails in this area, but not for 2 years. It's a longer drive than we usually take...more time on the road means less time on the trails.

Beyond Belief Beautiful, Mary! If I hadn't seen this place before, I would think the photos were altered, but I know better now, having been there.
