Although storms come and go The mermaid remains unphased protected within her tranquil waters.
I have always loved the colour turquoise I find it really soothing and balancing as it reminds me of beautiful beaches in Australia.

Grat work and the subtle connection between her lower half and the rock is very clever. MiguelAnonymous Guest 06 Dec 2006

I think the thin arms motif mentioned in by Steven Love may represent that in her art, the artist find release of burdens from everyday life...the characters in the paintings are fresh, unburdened with life's problems. They are ethereal yet real.Kristi Mashburn 01 Sep 2006

GREAT MERMAID... would do great in a children's book... LOVE YOUR UNIQUE STYLE!DAVID OLSEN 31 Aug 2006
What I notice is a subliminal secondary image of the mermaid with her being a human and you can see her legs as part of the rock she is sitting on. You did it very skillfully so that the mermaid still stands out on it's own, and is very mesmerizing. I really appreciate your work because it is done with acrylic, and still has that mystifying 3-d look. You are a great artist!Ruth Taylor 31 Aug 2006
