August 1999. After orientation at Nygard Cay we took a trip up to Nassau and checked out a few places when we're diverted to the main park were familys gather and practice on their home made percussions & drums getting ready for the big celebration of Junkanoo at the end of the year. It's mezmorizing and hypnotic to watch this event happening every sunday till the big celebration. Local pride since there really isn't anything else to look forward to.
