This was a class assignment. It is a digital hand painting from a black and white photograph. I do not know who took the original photo, it was given to us in class to use. This was done with Artist Oils-Painter IX and a Wacom table...Buy this image as 5x7 GreetingCards. 8 Cards w/envelopes Free sentiments can be added. http://www.smkgraphicstudio.com/smk_greeting_cards.htm

the curtains - bright & billowy are what grab me here....and the possibility of peeking out the toppermost windows. or throwing them back to let the light in. Anita MWjoan warburton 13 Feb 2006
This is lovely! I like the colors you've chosen.Wendy Strohschein 13 Feb 2006
Shadowing on the left looks great. but the angled roofline and the wall behind it kind of run together and don't really give much sense of depth. Perhaps more shading there somehow??Jerry 13 Feb 2006
Nice colors, texture, lines and picture!Chas Sinklier 13 Feb 2006
Susan if you want a straight line and you're using a tablet, try putting a cork-backed ruler on the tablet and so on - when I've illustrated this sort of image, I've often put each line on its own layer and then merged layers to save memory and so on - This was a cool class assignment and your work is darn nice - wish more of my students would drag in work of this fine quality - looks like you're one of those who care - hope you're able to find work when you finish school - if you're young you certainly will! :)Tara Corbett 12 Feb 2006
