Companion piece to “Mahmoud’s Crazy American Wife,” this whimsical portrait depicts an actual person who is on the reality show “90-Day Fiancé—the Other Way”—Americans who move to another country to marry someone they barely know. Here, American Nicole has married Egyptian Mahmoud, and it’s doubtful the marriage will last because of the husband’s extreme cultural and religious views that are not accepted or practiced by Nicole, with neither willing to compromise. To me, they are both “crazy” for entering a marriage with no chance of success between two wildly different cultures, beliefs & religions.
