When mania goes terribly wrong. Normally mania kicks us up into a state of grandiosity to varying degrees, known as euphoric mania, but sometimes and for many people, mania can go the other direction and become filled with rage and chaos. The painting depicts a woman in mania surrounded and engulfed by rage. Rage is also a psychotic symptom of DID and there are often rage alters.
