Christopher Douglas Thames
Chris Thames was born in Fort Worth, Texas. He attended Paschal High School and then graduated from Subiaco Academy in Arkansas. He attended TCJC for a couple of years and after that joined the Marines. After the marines and school, he settled down as a graphic artist specializing in presentations for about ten years. He worked in black and white and yearned to work in color. So, he picked up a paint brush and has been hooked ever since. His paintings have been selected for the Firehouse Gallery in Fort Worth, were chosen for the Alzheimer Art Walk in Dallas, and his paintings can be seen in homes all across the DFW area. He lives with his wife Nikki Nordlof, his stepson Kaley Nordlof, and two cats named Gizmo and Crash. Interests include acrylic on canvas and mixed media paintings. He does have a preference for painting celebrities.
