My first trip to Death Valley National Park in California was not what I expected; I wasn't expecting much, a majority of the pictures I had seen was mostly sand dunes and salt flats. I was not expecting the beauty that I found, and it resulted in me visiting the park multiple times since then. Mosaic canyon was a quick last minute hike I took, that allowed me to visit both a canyon hike and the sand dunes in the last few hours before I had to leave for my flight home, and it was definitely one of the highlights of my trip. The variety of rock formations and colors were breathtaking, and if you're ever in the area, make sure you have time to walk through.
