Theres actually 3 different zodiac creatures in this picture. Below on the ground is the tiger representing the year thats past. In the middle and closest is the rabbit representing the present and in the sky is the future, dragon.

Almost in time for the chinese new year. I drew the lineart a while ago but finally started work on it. It took FOREVER due to all the textures everywhere. The stone dragon I added in at the last minute. I like how it contrasts with the golden one. I felt it was time to make a new addition to my peacock girls. :3

Finally got another one done in my queen set. @.@ One one queen left. This one took forever no thanks to the trees. 90% of it was done in open canvas. She was the one I had the most trouble deciding a weapon for.Originally I was going to give her a spiked club for her weapon but I decided she would make a better mage so I gave her a staff as a weapon.

This one took me forever to finish for some strange reason. It was a different way of coloring. I actually decided to have a mist effect so on top of usual shading areas farther in the back would fade into the mist. Overall I like how she turned out. The tilted background was also fun to do, I think it adds a nice dynamic to the piece. If you are curious about the runes, they spell "Valkyrie" in Elder Futhark.

This one took forever due to it's size. The full size is 4073px X 6456px. This made it interesting to work with, especially because the background was mostly done in open canvas. I'm loving that program more and more. Switching between open canvas and photoshop gives me a lot more freedom. This was an older drawing of mine. About halfway through I decided I would color it so that I could disregard the lineart and just show the shading. Overall I like how it turned out. An interesting note, the theme of this picture was actually a bunch of 8s. Everything is designed to flow back and forth with each other like an infinity sign. I hope you enjoy it.

I sort of took off with it when I came up with the idea of bats turning into birds. From there it gained it's day and night theme. It was originally completed back in 2008. When I looked back at it I found a few problems with the face and shoulder so I revisited the work to correct those problems. I hope you enjoy the new version. :)

Yay. Finally finished it. I did the lineart at work and finally after several days got it colored. @.@ It's jack frost, as the title suggests. I actually decided the female version needed a companion. It took forever to ink the cape. Sure it's not a very exciting pose but I think it works. :D

This is the first in what will probably be a series of females with peacock hair. I've had the idea for them for a while... just do to how complicated their hair is I've never gotten around to coloring them. This was a fun little painting. I actually decided to try a tetradic color scheme.
