I hoped to show some of the complexity of his time in life. He recently suffered a stroke leaving him without many of his considerable talents and abilities. When I view Charlie, I see sadness and grief and yet remarkably an uncanny peace and contentment. The loves and passions he held onto in his earlier years were destined to elude his grasp and yet he remains a man who stirs admiration and love in everyone he meets. </DIV></DIV>
