"A Seaman's Dream" is an acrylic abstract on 24x30" gallery wrapped canvas. Inspired by sailing with a friend years ago on his 30 ft. sail boat on Lake Barkley, KY. What a glorious day! Beautiful sunshine, the breeze ruffling our clothes and hair, champagne on ice, the works! Alas! we hit a rock and broke the rudder. Fortunately we were towed to the nearest boat yard and repairs couldn't be made until the next day. We had to spend the night at the fabulous Lake Barkley Hotel. Romance had filled the air all day but the rudder breaking broke something in my friend's personality. I was all primed to request separate rooms but didn't get the chance! Before I could say a word, he asked the clerk for separate rooms (and not connecting ones either!). My friend did take my elbow and steered me to the large, beautiful dining room and bought my dinner but the romance and excitement were nowhere evident. His brows stayed knitted together. I understood how costly repairs might be and thought maybe that was the cause of his change in attitude. The next morning when I called his room, he had checked out! I was stranded and had to find my own way home. That will be another painting and story someday. Meanwhile, this painting is exhibited in Evansville, IN at the Grossman Financial Group along with several other paintings of mine. BTW, ten years later, I learned that my "friend" was married at the time to a wealthy woman who was out of the country. Obviously, it was HER sail boat! Rumor had it that my romantic interlude with him on the sail boat was not his first!

Swimming with pigs, is the title of my art entry.

This large painting was inspired by my real-life experience of swimming with pigs, on an uninhabited island located in the Bahamas. This painting will always remind me of the most fantastic island life, summer time ever!

Now, you get to enjoy it too!
