New Top Artist / Image Lists

Here is a quick overview of three important upgrades to the ArtWanted.com website...

1) ARTIST SEARCH: We have replaced the HOME button on our menu bar with the new ARTIST SEARCH page. This new page makes it easier for you to lookup a specific artist on ArtWanted.com. Also on this page, you can view the newest members and our new TOP 10 and TOP 100 artist reports. We have also added the ArtWanted.com logo in the top corner of each page that will take you home.

2) TOP IMAGE CHARTS: We have also revamped the ARTWORK SEARCH page by taking out some clutter and adding our new TOP 10 and TOP 50 images lists. If you are viewing artwork for a specific gallery, we will show you the top images of the gallery you are in. These lists are created from the votes we receive from our new rating system. Only members can vote, so it's a true picture of the top artists on our website, as voted by the artists. You must receive at least 5 votes to be considered for the top image list and 10+ votes for the top artist chart. We do this, so that we can collect a good average rating.

3) SERVER MOVE: We will be moving the physical location of the ArtWanted.com servers over the weekend and on Monday. This may cause intermittent down times, but this move will make our website faster and will open the door for some new website upgrades. Please check back later if you notice the website not responding. Thanks.

I just browsed the new "Top-10" and "Top-50" image charts and wanted to commend you on the change. I found that it worked really well and I enjoyed viewing the top images in this manner. I do have a question though. When reviewing the photography gallery I noticed that there was other art media mixed in (i.e.pencil sketches and oil paintings). Shouldn't the photography gallery contain only photography images? Lori

I noticed the same in the art/drawing/misc. area & was wondering how someone who only does photography could be listed under that category? Also - the links on this page dont all work - I can get to the page using one of them - the first top 100 link on this topic - but the rest dont take me there?
