OK.. About the date.. it seems to me that Jan, 15,09 is enough time.. THOUGH, as I had a mail, not to all the date is suitable.. SO.. If you wish you can post before or after this date.. Just when you post, post in this thread too, so ALL Can see and can visit your portfolio.

This came about as I needed to practice layering with acrylics.

I guess you've all heard of automatic writing?

Well, a while ago I read a piece on automatic drawing. In a nutshell you just allow your pencil to wander over the canvas and when you've done enough scribbling you pick out shapes from the mass of lines and discard.. (paint over).. any you don't plan to use for your chosen shapes.

I may do a series of these.. lol.. who knows?.. "Shadows of the Mind" seems an apt title lol.. anyway, here's the WIP for the first..:-)

Hello again Terry & visitors :-)
It is fantastic start, Terry.. and a very good idea.. Your direction is very correct .. Actually, I used to do it with music.. I mean.. you can try putting different kind of music.. and "PLAY" on the canvas or paper.. Different rhythms can give you different lines, shapes or strokes..

I have few ideas, personally i haven't decided yet what shall I do. Only next week I can give it a start. I had something in mind.. and this evening, I was visiting a beautiful house in NIR-ISRAEL.. With beautiful people..
At this house there are many paintings.. , I was interested and so, I was explained that all paintings were done by the same artist, the mother of the woman live there. And so..I saw a painting, that, I thought could fit perfectly to this subject: "GET WILD".. The funny thing is that its one of the latest paintings of the artist and quite wilder.. and her daughter explained to me, that she was quite stunned by her mother new style :-)).. In fact, i have something similar in my mind the last days.

I don't know, can I post now? Cause last night I had fun with my software :) Hi Terry, yeah I have heard of "automatic drawing" my friend does that a lot and his artwork is not mainstream at all. Ok, here is one of mine, I just call it AAhhhhh! Most of it is my drawing and there are added "stamps" and effects. But, it is wild and totally NOT my style but very fun!

I just came back from my studio... and started to do my experiments in wilder way then usual.. It was very fun and relaxing... I used less colours then usual, but i will add next layer or 2.. Must go out... Enjoy your day!
