Additional Top Ten Stuff

We are happy to see all the positive feedback on the new rating system and top ten reports. Here is some additional information for those of you that can't get enough...

1) TOP TEN CLUB

If your artwork is found on one of our new Top Ten reports, we will add a 'Top Ten Club' icon on your portfolio page for all to see. If you click on the icon, it will take you a list of all the Top Ten reports that artist is found on.

We will also place this icon on the page of any image that is found in the top ten reports. By clicking on this icon, it will take you to the report that shows that image.

2) TOP TEN E-MAIL

If one of your images is voted into the top ten, we will send you an e-mail about it that day. If you do not wish to receive these e-mails, you can un-subscribe to our mailings from your MEMBER PREFERENCES area.

3) NUMBER OF VOTES MATTER

Lets say there are four images with the same rating average. The image with the most votes will be ranked higher on the page than the images with fewer votes. The more votes you get, the higher you will be on the charts - if you are in a tie with someone else.

4) VOTE REQUIREMENTS

An image/artist must have a certain amount of votes to qualify for the Top Ten reports. An image may have an actual higher score than those on the report, but it will not be displayed, because of too few votes. Here are the minimum number of votes to be qualified:

Daily Report...2 votes
Weekly Report...3 votes
Monthly Report...4 votes
Quarterly Report...5 votes
Half-Year Report...5 votes
Yearly Report...6 votes
All Time Report...6 votes

The numbers above are for the 'Top Image' reports. To be considered for the 'Top Artist' reports, you must have twice the votes mentioned above.

5) ONLY UPLOAD ONE IMAGE PER DAY

We strongly reccommended that you only upload 1 image per day on ArtWanted.com. We have proven that the artists that do this receive more views to their artwork, more ratings on their images and more exposure to their portfolio. This is due to the fact that their artwork is spread across the site on multiple days, instead of lumped all on one day. If these things are important to you, simply come back each day to post a new image - rather than posting all your images on the same day.
