quick sketch artists Wanted

Looking for quick sketch artists to do portraits of patrons looking away from you at Renaissance fairs.

Need to be able to live at, and travel to the fairs. Currently doing Michigan Ren Faire, Geoga Ren Faire, NY Ren. Faire, Texas Ren Faire, Florida Ren Faire, So.Ca. Pleasure Faire, The No.Ca.Ren.Faire. Marin Ren.Faire and The Dickens Xmas Fair in San Francisco. Hope to do the rest of the Fairs around the country.

Ren Fairs run on the weekends and last 6 to 8 weeks.

These faires are filled with happy people that love to work. Its a very cool life stile. We start in Florida in February and by April were every wear. By October, 6 artistes and 2 Counter Kids (they take the money) will be at the Texas Ren Faire kicking some major Portat ass.

This is an example of the look we're going for. You will be working with a group of 1 to 4 other artists. There should be a similarity of style coupled with speed of execution.   Welcome to the Starbucks of Quick Sketch Portrait work!   Using the sample image as a guide, draw someone in a similar style. Send the finished sketch along with a photo of the person for comparison. If you don't have access to a camera, no problem, but I'd still like to see the drawing so I can tell if your style fits our needs.   Capture the emotion of the figure without showing their face...focusing on their posture, the position of the hands, shoulders, hips, etc.   We work with charcoal on 11 x 17 stock. Sketches should take no longer than 3 minutes to execute.   Remember this is a show first and foremost. The customer is there because we're having fun. They are drawn in by how fast you draw their friend's backside...They can't wait to be next!   You know how cool it is to see an artist lay down so bold a line with such confidence.

Sincerely, Bevan

If it's a Renaissance fair, I'd say they'll pay ya in Euro-dollars.
