A Big Turn-around-Belief for me in looking at how I did Art

Something just happened to me the other day that had effected me totally with my art beliefs.I know some people may go against it but hey,it is so true to me.(I will tell you how it effected me at the end.) Art to me is the made through what you study or look at for a long period of time whatever you may like, you see it then make a artpiece of what you know how to draw it after study.I think when you can visualize what you want instead of and easy way around it you will get much further in life, because to challenge yourself, you start to see the beauty in other things in life as well, not just art;atleast that happened for me.

My story on how thinking of art and changing it effected me. The other day I was really upset about my life and looking back at it,it seemed so horrible but strangely to say I had a good talk with someone and brought up about my art,in which I should challenge myself more with it because it is so easily done, and yes I have to agree totally that I want to draw beautiful art instead of something I do not even know what will really become of it.

Also I always alot of the time take the easy way out and do not challenge myself at all.

So anyway I thought that art should be beautiful and from life.So I decided to look up photos of butterflies and are they ever so beautiful, their markings and colors I'am amazed it is such a work of art.

So yes thinking about challenging myself with drawing it has opened my eyes to other beauties in life.

Just thought it may help someone else out,but may not because I experienced what happened to me and may not work for someone else.I do not know.

I think you may be on to something Lois.

I once started with the intent of painting a representation of a butterfly and ended up making a great elephant! If you let yourself be free when you have a vision often the result is spontaneous.

visualization and staying positive in seeing beauty everywhere can carry an artist through life and a successful career, not to mention meeting challenges as they present themselves.

just last year, i put a camera in my hand and started taking photographs of abstracts i see in the streets...not typically a place to find beauty in the cracks, fisures, striping, debris, etc. from there, i began to create hybrid images pairing my paintings to these new photographs. i haven't looked back.

visualize, stay positive and face your challenges!

Life is motion, motion is change, change is everything. Pay attention and move forward, this is what I am doing.
