MACRO PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST with prizes

With MACRO PHOTOGRAPHY in mind...Following guidelines to be followed:

1.Submit one entry ONLY 2.INSECTS or FLOWERS ONLY 3.NO BLACK and WHITE photography COLOURS ONLY

DEAD LINE is SATURDAY July 28th midnight EST

PRIZES: 1st place will get ONE YEAR subscription paid at AW. 2nd place will get CALENDAR for 2008 paid and his/hers photo published in calendar (photo that is winner here at this contest)3rd place will get EXPOSURE on my website at SMUGMUG...name or icon...(I get 5000 hits a day)...

VOTING will start on Sunday july 29th and will end on August 4th saturday...midnight EST...by sending your votes in email to me....ALL VOTES will be kept confidential!! All entries that are NOT within GUIDELINES will be disqualified and votes will not count.

ALL PRIZES are paid by me personaly which i wanted to do this for long time for members of AW....GOODLUCK everyone!!

Here is my submission, this Yellow Rose from my wifes garden was blown over when a tornadic storm passed by, the tornado set down 3 miles from our home. I brought this rose in a photographed it for her before it died. This photo was taken using a florescent desk light under the rose, the rose is completely yellow, the lighting gave it the orange red appearance.. Thanks for looking.. Bob

Hi, The technical name for the this flower in my book is "yellow flower". Of this course it's an uneducated guess. If someone knows the exact name, I will revise my book. Thanks.
