I have been photographing the "Urban Landscape" for quite a few years and have a number of manhole covers and plates in my "City Skins" collection. Always a fascination - especially when you ponder the technology and workmanship some represent within the simplicity of the shapes. Lots of compositional opportunities also. Thanks for starting this! Richard

Wow, Trixi, I did find this one from Isreal and it is beautiful! I wonder what the symbols mean? and Richard, thanks for adding to this thread, it is good to see your work!

Glad you found it Jerry. The bottom right has Hebrew writing and at the bottom left there is Arabic. The Coat of Arms is that of Akko, Israel. :-))
