how about a religious or spiritual theme?

Lisa Eshkenazi 01 Jul 2005

How about an 'Angel' theme? :D

Pat Abbott 01 Jul 2005

Wildlife/nature for photography would be nice. And I think self portraits sounds interesting too.

Barbara Kaplowitz 03 Jul 2005

Superheros, Samurai, Machines, Vampires, whatever etc.... Specific genres for not so featured artists (ie. Black and white photo/pastels/3+ mixed media)?? We could've had a fourth of july since holidays seem to be big ones... Or maybe you guys can provide an image for us to use in whatever way we want, but we all have to use the base image in some way...whatever.

Why don't we have a contest weekly for all art work to enter and have of a captive moment in time people, landscapes, sunsets stc....

Sandy Madison 10 Jul 2005

A contest theme could be "Visual Pun" This contest could be done many times. The directors of the contest, AW Staff, would present a word or phrase which is to be illustrated, cartooned, photographed or modeled into a visual pun.

Example: melancholy

Phrase: "Gay abandon."

what about something to do with space.

Dave Rosenfeld 17 Jul 2005

ArtWanted.com I would like to see a UFO/Alien/Space related contest using digital media. It would be out of this world! Alien Dave

Terri Flowers 26 Jul 2005

How bout a still life depicting the artists' favorite things, giving us a glimpse of each one of our personalities!

Katerina Koukiotis 28 Jul 2005

I love art contests and have been submitting them every chance i get here at AW :)

I have a few suggestions that i would like to submit.

1) I would love to see an art contest depicting our favorite childhood fairytales/story/book

2) MERMAIDS-an art contest just about mermaids.

3) Greek Gods and Goddess and anything that has to do with Ancient Greece (I'm Greek so i may be a bit biased...lol) but it's a fabulous art subject with so many different themes and stories to choose from...

4)Art contest depicting our favorite movie-

5) art contest depicting our favorite song

6) art contest dedicated to a decade lets say the 80's which ROCKED!!

7)SELF PORTRAITS of artists

8) what about fanart? as long as it is STATED it's for fun why not have a contest drawing our favorite character aka harry potter...singer,actor entertainer etc....

9)FOOD contest!! that would be a fun and funny art subject drawing/painting some of our favorite..foods,meals etc...

10) last but not least it would be cool if there was just a pencil art contest -and have an art contest for each art meduim, acrylic, digital, oil etc...the following weeks so no one is left out.

that's about it hope you liked some of my ideas :):):):) I will do my best to try and enter the horse art contest you are having now.

I'd like to see a contest that encourages artists to get creative with media as well as subject matter. Something like an "unusual media" contest where materials that are not widely used for art are used to paint/draw/sculpt or whatever.

Stephanie Meldgaard 01 Aug 2005

self portraits would be cool

heliopo Heliopo 03 Aug 2005

yes, selfportrait of the artist sounds good :o)

Tara Corbett 12 Aug 2005

I think there should be a family tree contest. Photos of generations within a family. Sometimes the genetic resemblence is pleasing.

Maria hedblom 14 Aug 2005

Hey! someone had written something sbout emotions. I'm sooo in to that. let's have an art contest where we choose an everyday emotion and tries to draw it as good as we can. The emotions can be: love, anger, hate, trust, frusration, sorrow, desperation. hey the list can be long... what say you, oh jury?

Dina Sierra 26 Aug 2005

I want to suggest an idea, but I'm not sure how yo descibe it...It would be mostly for photographs...Natural Anomelies? Tranformations? Enter pictures of subjects that are not easily identified. They must be real, not abstract and have people guess what the subject is/was/will be. Guess why the subject appears out of the norm... Do you catch my drift? I have an interesting example:

Naomi Lister 02 Sep 2005

How about a kids in america contest?

Jose Pedro 03 Sep 2005

and a tree contest?

k r 04 Sep 2005

I would like to see Photography and art seperated, maybe it would be a good idea to have digital/traditional art and Photography all in a section of there own?

The Skill of an artist is not the same as that of a photographer, im not saying one is better than the other, I would just like to see them seperated like on some other art sites.

All the very best to everyone from Keith n Kay at www.falconian.com.
