Vincent -

There are multiple possible reasons why your numbers would have changed from last year. As you pointed out, we get new members join our site every day. The more artists we have, the more artwork there is on the site and the harder it may be to find you. However, one of the biggest reasons was some big changes we did in October 2009 to the way we track statistics. These changes caused a big drop for many artists, but we feel the hits are more accurate. Check out our blog for more details on this change.

Thanks for your membership and support, let us know if you have any other questions.

No changes have been made to our site Marlene, sorry you are getting less hits than before.

not a problem..hits don't translate into sales. just thought yuo had found some more bots and eliminated them from the count.

No changes to the stats.

However, one thing that might have affected numbers was the fact that we had over 1700 new artists join our site last month. This is more than any other month in our website history. More artists means more artwork on the site, which may reduce hits to individual artists, because there is more art to look at.

Jerry, I've had the experience of getting hundreds of hits in a few hours on here.....simple explanation usually....StumbleUpon. A StumbleUpon member will like say one image....btw probably an anonymous guest to AW....they put it out on their Stumble Upon acct. and people come to that portfolio for an hour or more "en-masse."
