A Monthly Challenge Based Upon Specific Pieces of Poetry or Literature, with no restrictions on the type of artwork submitted.

Examples: "The Living Hand" by John Keats, or a stanza from Poe's "Haunted Palace".

I would be VERY interested in seeing how different people interpret and visualize literary works, and I would be at the head of the list to participate.

- A freacky art contest. - A contest with the theme of the modern or technology. - A theme on the pollution -A spiritual photos contest -A anticontest of the must realy bad painting . A anticontest of the must realy bad draw. A theme on the childrens in all art style. A theme on the war. A animal extinguished theme.

I would love to have more contest in just traditional art work, It always seems to be photography or digital. Also, a cool theme could be punk, rock stars, etc... A cool theme in my art class was to draw a magazine cover for a person of the year, like bachelor of the year, ar actor of the year, etc. they don't even have to be famous, they could be made up!

Some cool themes, *pirates for POTC *wizards For Harry Potters new book *punk/ rock bands *made up magazine covers *space *time- anything that is supposed to represent time, the thing that affects us all *war in iraq *political cartoons *A day at the Store, *Art Noveau *A night out-party life-techno *The bad side of plastic surgery *Car crashes-drunk drivers *Global warming, the enviornment *Roman age, Midevil, etc.

and I could think of so many others, but these are the ones I really want to do!!

PLEASE CONSIDER THESE, AND CONSIDER DOING MORE TRADITIONAL ART CONTESTS!! I WOULD DEEPLY APPRECIATE IT!!

TRADITIONAL ART IS BEING OVERSHADOWED BY THE DIGITAL ART/ PHOTOS!! PLEASE MAKE MORE TRADITIONAL ART CONTESTS!! Ideas: **Pirates for POTC ***Wizards for Harry Potters new book, ***punk rock scene/ bands ***medical ***a day at the store ***Parties, techno, bars etc. ***Time-how it affects us all ****midevil ****greek/roman age ****celtic knotwork ***WW2 *the cold war ****songs- drawings that were inspired by actual songs.

Also, these could maybe send a message out to the world about these problems ****plastic surgury- side effects ****car crashes ****animal cruelty ****psycho massacres, virginia tech ****games ****Political cartoon, or the war in iraq *****the homeless****

All these things seem like good ideas to me, but I can't speak for anyone, I can speak for the traditional artists like myself who just want a contest for once!!

I just thought of two themes for contests....One would be a design for a ArtWanted.com museum.

The second would be a contest that reflects Art made in the U.S.A. Not politcial...culturally... Like Tiffany,Frank Lyodd Wright,James McNell Whistler,

Art that shows the world that Americans can still hold their own in the world of fine art.
