It was just the beginning of this month ( March ) when I found my way to AW and I'm most impressed with all the ways provided artists for promoting their works. Returning to my passion, painting, came with retirement from a thirty year career in graphics, photograpy, lithograph printing, educational and commercial television, a career that took to three western states I've enjoyed a life time in art which began as a senior in high school, doing free lance with Proctor & Gamble. The return to painting has been just as exciting resulting in the gallery collection titled " Serenity Scenes " which have been featured in various showings. It's delightful to be an active participating member in AW and to see all the works of aspiring and seasoned talent. Thanks to all who have generously commented on my works as I hope they are enjoyed. ___________ shasta eone

I've been signed up for the site for a few months, but it's only been since the end of March that I've actually been uploading art and having a look around. I must say, I like it so far. so many different types of art and so easy to get seen. :)

Hi Pete, Just joined last night, have only added three of my photos, one of which I have made into a Wedding Invitation card. Also I have joined as a full member as well, so hope to be arounda while, so would appreciate any advise on the site and best way to get sales. I have my own private website and a site on redbubble, which is where i am moving from to here, time for some new and exciting Art and expieriences. Look forward to critiques of my work and discussions as well. mostly looking forward to viewing all the great art. Happy snapping

My art business is called convicted images, i came up with the idea while i was serving a prison sentence of five years. I have spent most of my life behind bars and after learning how to draw and creating a outlet for my emotions within my art it changed my life and i love it. my wonderfull wife and children as well as mr. crespo of the Newark ny Y.A.P program for giving me hope and confidence to succed at my goals and dreams of art!!!!! and first and foremost to GOD for the talent and new life to do and accomplish this feat!!!!!! To all thank you for this wonderfull shot to excell at what i love to do and God bless all who visit my new page and your art as well!!!!!!!!

I just found this thread after joining about two weeks ago.... Somewhere around June 12, 2011. Hello from the sunny Ojai Valley, Ventura County, California. I'm slowly finding my way 'round here. I've played in a great many media forms my whole life, taking classes here and there. Currently, my favorites are colored pencils, glass mosaics, oils, mixed media and computer graphics. I've won numerous awards, displayed in seven states and Canada and continue to show and sell locally. No national acclaim and very little local acclaim. I thoroughly enjoy who I am, what I'm doing and how I spend my time.... And especially the results of my work and efforts.

I joined a few months ago, but just recently got a few images uploaded. I have had computer problems that have limited the amount of time I can be online (borrowing my husband's computer), so it was all I could manage to maintain my RedBubble site and keep up w/email, etc. I mostly work in acrylic paints and colored pencils, sort of a hybrid between surrealism and something else, of a humorous nature, usually. I'm also participating in The Sketchbook Project for the first time this year. So about the time they got their uploading feature working I started putting up images here, too.
