Wow, Thank u Gary...I am suprised...realy i mean it..Someone else told me its a great image ex_member here...

I was frustrated and i grabbed D70 lol... Ofcourse i have to forget wildlife for next 5 months...Chances seeing what i want is slim to none at Zion...

I have to get used to scenery....and attach my landscape lenses to other cameras...lol

Well Thank u much Gary...I am getting my confidence back...now..

What a beautiful catch

Bianca,

Its a beautiful image... you can't go wrong with red and blue.

Why are you always saying.not photo-shopped? Most people who think things are photo-shopped don't know alot about photography. You don't need to defend yourself if you did phot0shop, its your creative vision not the viewers. I have know some people who have changed there style cause someone didn't like how they photographed or edited images.

A great photographer (peter lik) was once asked what filters or what editing he did to his images, his response was I used the alarm clock filter.

Markos, Most of the time i do use Photoshop....One way or other....U are right in your saying.... Story is long about that...and woudnt wanna open can of worms...lol...I cant agree more with u what u have said...

I used to say who cares if it is photoshopped...Ansel did in his own way photoshop of his days....But some get their feathers ruffled these days if one uses photoshop...So there is reason why i did say that cause i was attacked in the past by those who cant stand a great work...enough said on that

And u are right it can influence some people including me and start changing style...Now that u said that makes me think why for what and who..Most people dont know much about it..Thank u

I am gona go tonight again to see what i can get...Last night sky was all pink/red ...All day yesterday was high serra clouds....and seem to me will be today...Those clouds create beautiful sunset...Will see what happen...I am slowly getting taste of it...:)

Thanks RQ :)

Marko is right Bianca,, you don't have to defend if it was photoshopped.. that is almost like saying, it was darkroomed... as photoshop has replaced the chemicals to make a image.. although you can actually do more than you ever could in the darkroom..

The final image is your intrepertation of your scene.. you can do anything you want with it.. it is as you say, my vision of what I saw and how I wanted to convey it...

the only ones' that are that concerned about photoshop are the purist.. who feel a scene should stay exactly as you found it.. and that is great if that is what one wants to do.

But if one wants to created a little more feeling or expression in it,, so be it..

It is no different than a painter embellishing his painting of a scene.. you have those that will be faithfull to what they saw and there will be those that enhance it in a creative way..

The end result is your creation and you can do what ever you want to showcase to viewers..

Plus there will have to be some photoshop or correcton as there is inherent flaws in the capturing ability of electronics , you know the type, sharpen a bit, color balance ..

BOTTOM LINE,, The Image is "MY Interpretation"

Go have fun out there..

APHOTO4YOU 09 Nov 2009

Markos for some reason I cant get that link to load...All it is black screen and says time and and date...

I will mark on a map place u said...BUTE Will see what i can do...

Sky is being bleached for 2 days and it will continiue to be like that for few days..That is reason i didnt go...I hate these colours sky...and also there was no sunset tonight period...

As soon as weather clears i be there

APHOTO4YOU 09 Nov 2009

Gary,

I understand and that is true..It was always my beleive who cares what photographer did with a image as long as image is eye catching and as u said "MY Interpretation"

However.....................

Anyway i am waiting for weather to clear and temperatures suposed to drop down to 30's here...i be looking for snow ....and i will rush up there ....I have lots of times...

When i first got here i had to wash my RV, groom the dog, groom myself after being woods woman for 6 month..lol...wash my van...which took beating on Tetons roads...etc etc...

Now i am gona be ready to explore...And i surely hope i see some wildlife as well...

But scenery will do ...i like great looking scenery...I am missing a lens between lenses i have...and i might have to get a lens...

APHOTO4YOU 09 Nov 2009

Thank u Minerva.....and welcome back...

I am gona wait for that snow..beleive me...I have been told that when snows in Zions it is a must GO GO GO and take shots...Its absolutely beautiful...

APHOTO4YOU 11 Nov 2009

Oh My God i am so excited That is absolutely beautiful shot... Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww Thanks Markos a million...got me going now

markosphoto 12 Nov 2009

Will you go there and stand? I don't know how many know of the camera cause I never have seen anyone standing by the fence only people in rafts in the water...

Today is a yucky overcast in Moab as well, the good thing is usually clouds don't hang around all day. Its still fun hiking on cloudy days.

I want to live there cause even if the weather is crappy its still fun, hiking, biking off road, next time I am there I will take a airplane tour of canyonlands... they have one in the morning that will be fun.
